These are much nicer than the pictures give them credit for. Unfortunately my camera isn’t the greatest and it’s difficult to get a reasonable price from a professional photographer to set up and take shots of small jewelry. But remember we have a 30 day unconditional money back guarantee so if you see something you like go ahead and grab it. You can always return it if you don’t like it. Sorry but this one isn’t for sale. We made this as a display piece for a friend who is interested in selling our stuff for us. I just thought this necklace and earring set was kind of pretty so I’m posting it here for everyone to see.
I’ve been doing this for about 2 weeks now with the heart pendants. They’re getting better. I have started using 16 gauge 925 sterling for the heart itself with high quality sterling silver layered artistic wire for embellishments.
I’ve been seeing lots of gold and silver designs lately and they’re awesome looking. I am going to try using gold filled wire for the embellishments on these hearts very soon. I think that will put an interesting (and beautiful) twist on the design.
Shirley gave me the idea for this design. She loves heart pendants and she suggested I try to make one using wire and this is what we have so far.
These take about 45 minutes each to make counting the time to cut the chains and connect them. If I make a set of earrings to go with it them it takes about fifteen or twenty extra minutes so that makes it a little over an hour for the whole set.
Making the heart shape is kind of tricky. I like to make my hearts lopsided as Shirley calls it. I think they’re prettier that way. It makes them look kind of calm and relaxing.
The wire wraps take the longest and they are really rough on the ol’ fingers. Then setting up the beads comes in second for eating up time.
I have some video equipment laying around here somewhere and we’re thinking about making a video showing how to make these hearts step by step so if you’d be interested in something like that then throw us a comment and tell us to do it. Then subscribe to the blog so you don’t miss that day. It’ll probably be a month or two away.
We are planning on having a Jewelry making Workshop soon with some of our friends so maybe we can get some video then and share it with you guys too.

Everyone seems to love the sphere pendants so we’re going to make more of them. They’re kind of fun to make. Each one comes out a little different.
Everybody loves swarovski crystals too so look for more of those to be implemented in our designs in the near future. We are also trying to get our hands on some different wire shapes to work with.
We really like some of the square wire designs and we want to try it. It’s been kind of hard finding decent suppliers but we’re getting there slowly. We should be getting our new materials in about a week or so if all goes well.
We’ve stumbled upon a cool little technique for making sterling silver heart pendants and I just wanted to share a couple of pictures and ask everyone what they think of them.
We’re pretty proud of them so be gentle. LoL.
We officially LOVE making these things. They make great accessories and are great for dangles or decorating your keychain or anything else. The teenage girls that go to school with our niece are in love with them too. Shirley’s had about 6 or 7 of them ask how much they cost and if I’d make them one. Sheesh. I told them they could get ‘em on eBay soon.
You might think they are kind of flimsy because they’re made of wire but they are pretty sturdy little pendants. Shirley works with horses and she hasn’t gotten hers twisted up yet so that’s a good sign. The larger ones will bend out of shape if you apply enough force but you’re not supposed to be thrashing your delicate jewelry around anyways. Unless you’re a skater but that’s why they wear stainless steel right?

Solid .925 Sterling Silver Amethyst Crystal Art Wrap Pendant.
Hand Wrapped in 18 gauge sterling silver wire. This stone is polished and looks gorgeous in the light. The silver is also polished to a super shiny high lustre finish.

The stone is quite large (weights almost a half ounce, that’s over 70 carats!). You can really “feel” it when you wear it. Partly because of the weight and partly because of the energy it gives off.
